It’s not easy to walk around in daylight being the persons we truly are, we only tend to show our best to people and it’s only through evidence and the testimony of others that we can be proven to be real. My hope for all people everywhere is that this reality be fully achieved, that conversations with God be given a chance and that said conversations be full of truth and honesty so that these characteristics can become a symbiosis between us all. I truly care about the people around me. My friends are my friends and even though I’m sure I have enemies, the last thing I want to do is hate those who would hate me. It’s not easy to love your enemies either but given the choice, I’d rather do that than otherwise. Don’t be afraid to let your walls down and be real with God and with those around you, it’ll only help to fix the wrongs in life when you see yourself for who you truly are and for what should be fixed. That’s verbose for you right there.

Update 1: OMG! The Chicago Fire will be hosting the Columbus Crew the friday I arrive. I never got to go to Toyota Park for a Chicago Fire game while I was there, I’m hitting this game for sure!

My buddy Michael invited me to his wedding next month. I can’t wait to attend and support him that day in any way possible. Of course, knowing me I’ll take my camera to try and make the most of that day, not just for me but for him also. This is odd but for reasons known only to me, it’s kind of peculiar that he’s getting married 9/11/10. A bit troubling but it’s all good, can’t argue with the blessing that day will bring him. Congrats and much blessings to you and your soon-to-be wife Mikey!

The thing is that I thought that on that specific day, I was on a road that was possibly leading to a new beginning. Little did I know that the road I thought I was on, actually diverged in an instant and created the actual new beginning I’m embarking upon. Yes I was flummoxed by the decisions that were made in lieu of a new beginning and these feelings quickly turned into a morose disposition, but like I said, it didn’t last long. This one aspect that I thought was my reality quickly became just fantasy.

I had been looking for new employment for a couple of months now and I wasn’t going to settle for just any position. I was looking for a high-end position that would allow me to begin and complete a ton of goals that had been set into motion and believe me, I was not aware that my search would come to an end on that exact day, the same day that said goals evanesced. Seeing as how I was not able to go to that place I was supposed to go to, I instead went back to focusing on my job search. I found the most innocuous of job listings, with very little detail as to the position offered but I went ahead and replied to it anyway. Ten or so minutes later, I received a phone call to schedule an interview the very next day. As mentioned in my New Job posting earlier, this most innocent of listings turned out to be a powerful company and the interview went splendidly and the feeling was that this position was going to be mine. Sure enough I got offered this great position and suddenly all the events that led to this didn’t seem like a coincidence at all. A lot of what I thought was supposed to be the road of my life for the past couple of months has changed and a new road that’s led by love has been revealed. Those that know me can understand that what I mean by love isn’t a what, but more of a who and that’s what’s leading me right now.

Of course as the days have progressed, everything has gotten better as far as timing, decisions, guidance, etc. My new employer asked if I could start this coming Monday, which gave me the time to take in my Disneyland vacation. Orientation is today (Friday) and then I’m going to make the drive to go hangout with The Whosoevers. Not only do I get to hear Sonny from P.O.D. speak but I also get to hang out with him, how awesome is that? A lot of changes have happened very quickly and even now I have no concept of how my future’s going to unfold but I know I’m going to be in good hands. To quote Sonny himself: “It’s beyond my control, sometimes it’s best to let go, whatever happens in this lifetime, so I trust in love”. There are times when we think we can choose how life’s supposed to unfold and we truly believe that the choices we’re making are the right ones…well it’s not until all the signs point in a different direction, until your friends and family advice tell you otherwise and of course until you take all these into consideration that you fully figure out what path you should be taking. I don’t regret any of what has happened in the past, as a matter of fact I would do it all exactly as I’ve done it before, just to know that I will be standing in this place today with peace of mind. The only casualty is that I lost my best friend along the way but much love to all of you out there that know me and care about me! I care about you even more than you know and I love you all!
